QUESTION: How old do I have to be to join?
ANSWER: You must be 18 years or older to participate.

QUESTION: Is this Introduction Service only for committed (born-again) Christians?
ANSWER: We presume that the people that visit our website are committed (born-again) Christians and have come to this site to meet other like-minded Believers with similar interests and beliefs. We trust that everyone who joins as a member will conduct themselves in a Christian-like manner. We cannot guarantee that everyone that visits this site is a committed (born-again) Christian, however only committed (born-again) Christians are eligible to become members. Having said this, we are not a site per sê.

QUESTION: I am separated from my spouse - the divorce is pending - can I join in the meantime?
ANSWER: Unfortunately no. Amongst other reasons - In a nutshell - Although you might not be living as husband and wife - technically you are still married. That door of your life needs to be firmly shut!! You can only literally move on once your divorce is final.

QUESTION: Does Connecting Christians fall under any particular church?
ANSWER: No! The Facilitator operating this service worships at a particular charismatic church, however, we are open to all unattached committed (born-again) Christians from any bible based/Trinity centred (God the Father, His son Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit) denomination (traditional/evangelical/charismatic).

QUESTION: Does my private information stay private?
ANSWER: Absolutely! We are 100% committed to your privacy. We do not sell your information to any marketers or sales people. Your safety and security is our primary concern.

QUESTION: Does the member search, exclude, race, colour and ethnicity?
ANSWER: Yes it does, however you can specify which race, colour and ethnicity you are interested in. (Without prejudice!) Kindly note: Your preference in this regard is totally at YOUR own discretion - not ours!

QUESTION: Can I become a success story one day, so that my testimony can encourage other Christian singles?
ANSWER: Yes. Nothing would give us more joy than for you to become a success story and for you to share your testimony to encourage other Christian singles. Permission granted by yourselves of course!

QUESTION: What if my personal details change?
ANSWER: Contact us as soon as possible and we will make sure that your details are updated.

QUESTION: Should I send a photograph?
ANSWER: Photographs are NOT posted on our website or any other Internet service. A non
photograph will not influence your chances of meeting someone special, however, strongly
recommended, (as they assist us in the selection process, as we do not have the opportunity to meet
each and every member). As per the membership form (where applicable) you have the choice to
indicate a) For RECORD purposes only (in which case members are welcome to exchange photos
between themselves) b) Your photo will be attached to your profile and forwarded to select members.

QUESTION: Do you have do's and don'ts for a photograph?
ANSWER: We reserve the right to edit, crop or reject any photos.
The following will be rejected:
Nude, obscene, sexual or otherwise offensive photos.

QUESTION: What are the membership fees?
ANSWER: Click onto Membership Agreement/form and once you have fully understood and read the Terms and Conditions, click onto shaded paragraph for costs and the Membership form.

QUESTION: Once I have completed the form and submitted it to you, am I obligated to join as a member of Connecting Christians?
ANSWER: Obligated, NO! But since you have completed it, we encourage you to follow through with membership as you never know what surprise God might have in store for you.

QUESTION: What happens if after I have joined, I get "cold feet"?
ANSWER: The most important aspect of meeting people is to have fun and enjoy the experience. You are not going to get married tomorrow or the next day or even the day after that (but having said this, let us not limit God!). Having a cup of coffee does not necessarily mean commitment or marriage . Its friendship first and foremost. No pressure, just relax and have fun.

QUESTION: What are my payment options?
ANSWER: Cash/direct bank deposit/internet transfer. Regret no cheques accepted.

QUESTION: If I cannot afford the Membership Fee?
ANSWER: Our aim is to make this service affordable to all unattached committed (born-again) Christians. Having said this, we have a heart for single Moms and other unattached Christians who are genuinely going through "financial hard times" And if you believe you fit into these categories, we do offer reduced fees (purely at our discretion). Thus no one is prevented from joining. And the onus is on you to share this with the Facilitator. However, you do need to first complete the membership form, in order for us to have your details on hand whilst praying for you.

QUESTION: How do I cancel my membership?
ANSWER: Email us stating your reasons and we will do the necessary. Kindly do not phone or SMS in this regard.

QUESTION: When will my billing be stopped?
ANSWER: The Terms of payment of fees are payable before your membership becomes active. Your membership will continue until your 9/12/18 month membership expires, unfortunately there are no refunds for early cancellation.

QUESTION: How do I re-instate my membership?
ANSWER: Simply contact us and after we have received payment we will reinstate your membership.

QUESTION: If I cancel, will I still be able to stay in contact with the friends I have made through CONNECTING CHRISTIANS?
ANSWER: Yes, you can.

QUESTION: I cannot use my work e-mail address for personal e-mail. Can I still join?
ANSWER: The best option would be to create your own personal email address. We encourage you to make use of e.g. an Internet Cafe or Library. If you cannot download your mail from your office PC, you could even use a family member's or friends PC!

QUESTION: Can I update my profile anytime?
ANSWER: Yes. Updates to your profile are free. Just send us an email and we will update any details that have changed.

QUESTION: Geographic area limitations?
ANSWER: There is no geographic area limitation. Any where any place.

QUESTION: How is the search run for my perfect match?
ANSWER: We sort in this order: geographical area, gender, age bracket, children at home, height range, interests, then see what the other person's looking for. Sometimes a gent might be looking for a younger woman, but she may not be looking for an older gent etc. It should match both ways before we'll send the profile out as a referral.

QUESTION: What happens if I don't get referrals right away?
ANSWER: This could be for several reasons. Your geographical area may be too tight. Or it can be the age bracket is too narrow or unrealistic. Someone who's 49 and only looking for people 22-40, is not going to get too many - they're missing the most compatible group of 41-49. Or you may have some factors working against you, like smoking. If you no one comes up for you in the preliminary search, we'll go over your profile and see if there's anything hindering your getting matches. We'll then make suggestions on possible changes or give you some potential candidates that may be a bit off your particulars.

QUESTION: What happens when someone new joins and I am the right match?
ANSWER: When a new person joins and you are a potential match, we forward them your name, e-mail/mobile number (ie your profile) and you receive theirs although it might not happen simultaneously but soon after! You contact members directly.

QUESTION: What if it's really a mismatch?
ANSWER: Just let us know and if you can not deal with it, we will contact the other member and advise them. Please, don't just snub someone because they are not the right match. All of us can always use a new friend. If you are really are not interested, please be so kind as to let the other person know. Sensitivity and wisdom in this regard is advisable.

QUESTION: What can I do to get a lot of referrals?
ANSWER: If you give us a large scope to work on, we will have a wider choice of people to match you with

QUESTION: Do you give out my or any other member’s address?
ANSWER: Never! Only member’s name, email/mobile number and short profile.

QUESTION: Will my details appear on your website?
ANSWER: No! Only your name, email address, mobile number and profile (brief description plus interests)are forwarded to select members who fit your profile likewise you will receive same. (View example HOW DOES IT WORK )

QUESTION: If I meet someone through Connecting Christians and we both request that we be placed "on hold" and the relationship does not work out, can I be reinstated without having to repay the membership fee?
ANSWER: Yes, if it is during your membership period. The same would apply if you wish to be placed on "on hold" for any other reason.

QUESTION: Can I join for less than 6/9/12/18 months?
ANSWER: Unfortunately no. Various packages offered to suit everyone! Please refer to Membership fees.

QUESTION: And if I happen to be in another part of the country for a short period of time, can I contact people in that area?
ANSWER: YES, that is the beauty of the Service.

QUESTION: Should I meet someone through Connecting Christians are we obligated to inform you of our intention to get engaged or married?
ANSWER: Obligated No! But we encourage you to let us know (A wedding photo would be nice for our records). Remember our success rate and your happy announcements go hand in hand!

QUESTION: Do I have to come to you for the interview?
ANSWER: YES!! If you live close enough!! But normally everything is handled via e-mail or over the phone.

QUESTION: Do I get a discount if I get one or more friends to join?
ANSWER: Yes! Refer to Membership fees.

QUESTION: After my membership expires or I cancel for any reason, can I get back my photo and what happens to my details?
ANSWER: All is filed for recorded purposes. Photos are not returnable.

QUESTION: Can I phone anytime?
ANSWER: Only during the given times and regret NOT ON A SUNDAY.

QUESTION: I need an email address to meet people?
ANSWER: It would be advisable but not a pre-requisite. An email address is mainly for our use as we cannot POST/FAX/SMS information/profiles. IF you do make use e.g. an Internet Cafe - at your request, whenever I forwarded you mail, will SMS you "You got mail" so you are aware mail waiting for you. And I would also add this to your profile. Members are welcome to phone each other directly or SMS to initiate contact

QUESTION: How many introductions (profiles) do I receive?
ANSWER: There is no limit to the amount at any given time during duration of membership

QUESTION: How many members do you have?
ANSWER: Not any easy question to answer. Lets try to answer it this way. We have been in operation since 1987. This service is BLESSED & SUCCESSFUL. Membership grows DAILY. Many online services might tell you they have e.g. 15 000 members. (That possibly includes members PAST & PRESENT, members "on hold" for whatever reason, non paying members (who might have just completed the membership form online but have as yet not officially joined or paid the membership fee) etc etc. If we were to include all these members, we could tell you we have 50 000 members!! There are many /friendship services. We are not online per sé (which means Members do not connect with others via the website - but connect DIRECTLY.) We are not worldwide. We chose not to be. Our membership is in the region of 2500+ ACTIVE members. (From all walks of life, age & ethnical origin) Remember the larger the membership the harder it becomes to maintain a PERSONALISED service. We do not want to lose the HANDS ON approach. We also believe that God would not want you to become JUST a number. We are EXCLUSIVE to committed (born-again) Christians. Which makes Connecting Christians exclusive!! Specialised!! QUALITY rather than QUANTITY!
